Essiac tea is a traditional blend of burdock root, turkey rhubarb root, slippery elm and sheep sorrel in a grinded form. Its uses date back to Native Americans and then popularized in the 1920s by a Canadian nurse named Rene Caisse. It has a mild taste and can be consumed warm or cool.
3 oz bulk. Organic.
hOW to use
Prepare as an infusion by first making a concentrate:
-Boil about 4 cups of distilled water and then mix in 2 tablespoons of essiac blend.
-Boil for 10 more minutes covered, allowing a bit of steam out
-Remove from heat and let sit covered for 8-12 hrs
-Strain and refrigerate, concentrate can store for about a week.
To brew a cup of tea: Add about 2 tablespoons of this concentrate to hot water.
