Cloves are aromatic flower buds from a tree native to Indonesia and grown throughout Africa, Jamaica and the West Indies. Cloves are used in drinks like Sorrel and chai tea, cosmetically in perfumes and hair care, medicinally for toothaches, spiritually and in aromatherapy. It is a warming herb used for sluggish digestion and energy. Its abundance is said to come from the Indonesian tradition that grew a clove tree every time a baby was born.
