our debut shoot

i started planning the zen + tonics debut shoot back in april. it had been 2 years since i last coordinated a shoot + it wasn't as easy as it used to be - lost contacts, logistical issues, you name it. i re-planned + ended up with a bomb ass team, won't He do it.

we all met for the first time the morning of the shoot in early july. i chose the bombshell herself, @glowprincesss, as the debut face of zen + tonics. she's an effortless beauty + influencer hailing from central africa and she came thru! @kelbpics was behind the camera. we spoke a few x before the shoot + he was so focused on understanding + delivering my vision, the ultimate professional. + @touchedbytomi on the beat. tomi was so easy to work with + delivered the exact vision. i love her clean + flawless work. 

shout out to the amazing behnke nurseries in beltsville, a long-time family-owned nursery. they showed us so many good vibes + welcomed us with open arms. 

wardrobe came straight from the hands of small bizzes. i bought the african print wrap from cee cee closet's (check them out ladies, their videos taught me how to tie a head scarf proper). I know you see the earrings! the earrings hail from black+woman-owned, virgo 85 out of cali. i'm a huge supporter of small biz - that's where all the dope stuff is.
